Sheriff Jones tries to tie U.S. economic woes to immigration in Sheriff seeks governor’s support to stem employment of illegal immigrants. Jobs is an ongoing theme of Jones although overall job loss is unlikely to be tied to illegal immigration.
Bernard Pastor – a year later features an Xavier freshman student who has been in the U.S. since he was a small child and was nearly deported last year. His story illustrates the importance of comprehensive and just immigration reform. – Liz Woedl
